WebLithium is a mood stabilizer medication that works in the brain. It is approved for the treatment of bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression). Bipolar disorder involves episodes of depression and/or mania. Symptoms of depression include: Depressed mood — feeling sad, empty, or tearful Feeling worthless, guilty, hopeless, or helpless Webadjust your lithium dose; or prescribe additional medication to help you manage the side effects. It is also possible that changing your diet and the time of day when you take your dose could help. All of the possible side effects will be listed in detail in the patient information sheet that comes with your medication.
