WebAug 9, 2012 · Common practice is to put the actual values in your implementation (.c) and the declarations ( extern something something) in the header (.h). That way, you can update the values without having to recompile every file that includes the header. The answer is almost never "redeclare it each time I use it." In general, the constants are used in a particular context.
