Total bio-oil yield observed in thermal case was 29 wt%. The bio-oil1 yield was 12 wt% and bio-oil2 yield was 17 wt% in thermal case. Use of the base solutions (KOH and K 2 CO 3) increased the bio-oil1 yield compared to the thermal case.
