Or you could turn left at Salen and head the other way (north) on the A861 to Lochailort and then simply follow the main road to Fort William. WebIf you take the ferry via Kilchoan, a third route presents itself: northwards towards Lochailort on the FW-Mallaig road. Castle Tioram lies a little west of this route. And the road back to FW passes Glenfinnan (viaduct and memorial) All three routes deserve to be driven at a slow pace. Take your pick!
